Stunned !

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this interesting HR tactic today !!

I am quite well versed with the application process in USA. Their websites, HR personnel everything seems quite updated and professional. And I assumed that's how it is, everywhere, till I started applying everywhere !

My association with the application process in Indian companies began recently. Applying to Indian companies sitting here in USA, is somewhat bugging. They do not reply to your emails. Not even the automated email of 'We have received your resume'. Most of the websites fail as soon as you hit the 'careers' section. They are impressed by your resume but do not have the resources to call you at USA and have a telecon. They EXPECT you to call !!! HR manager uses 'u' , 'effortz' 'somethin' 'lik', in their emails. And if all this would not be devastating, I came across their wonderful piece of information from the HR girl which goes like ...

" I do not have time to go through each and every mail that I rec. so guyzz plzz send me a scrap on orkut, with your degree and yers of exp.

Stunned I am , least to say! And I really wonder who would be applying to that company. If they can't show professionalism on pages how much would they show in office ???
